Roland workhorses give extra horsepower to Wrap One

A 2,500sq ft facility, a seven-strong team and two Roland SOLJET printers get the job done for vehicle graphics specialist Wrap One – from one to 35 fleet cars, food trucks and service vehicles per project.

Based in Anaheim, California, USA, Wrap One started life in 2006 as a sign shop, before a customer requested large graphics for a vehicle. Soon, clients started asking for full-car wraps.

"We knew we were on to something," says Wrap One's founder, Alex Perez, who invested in a Roland SOLJET XC-540 printer/cutter to meet the demand. This was later joined by a SOLJET Pro 4 XR-640 printer/cutter, both of which are still running today.

"Our SOLJET printer/cutters are true workhorses – they're still going strong after all these years," says Alex. "I've had other printers that required 30 to 40 minutes to warm up. When I work with my Rolands, I think to myself, 'This is how it should be.'"

Wrap One exclusively uses Roland inks. "We tried the other third-party stuff early on, but the quality wasn't good. Now we use Roland inks and everybody sleeps at night," says Alex.

Thanks to the vibrant colours and consistently excellent quality of its Roland-printed graphics, Wrap One has wrapped vehicles for Disney, wraps new SUVs given to Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim baseball players as well service and car park vehicles for the team's stadium, and each year supplies pace car wraps and wall graphics for the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana.

Wrap One's expertise in food truck graphics also scored it a place on the History Channel's Modern Marvels: following the business as it designed, printed and installed a tasty wrap for a Macaroni & Cheese food truck.
