Roland DG Announces MDX-50 Open Day
Following on from the launch of the new Modela MDX-50 precision model making device, Roland DG will be hosting an MDX-50 Open Day at their headquarters, just south of Bristol. With focus on prototyping workflow; the MDX-50 Open Day will show you how this desktop milling device is suitable for professional, industrial and educational applications.
Alongside the new Modela MDX-50, attendees will also see the high performance Modela Pro II MDX-540, designed for fast, accurate prototyping across 4 axis’, and the compact Modela MDX-40A. This open day will offer businesses involved in product design – whether through education or commercial production – the chance to choose the correct machine to produce prototypes, mock-ups, jigs, moulds and light machining.
Alongside demonstrations of the vast capabilities of the MDX series, Roland DG’s 3D consultant Patrick Thorn will also be on-site. Patrick will show visitors a glimpse at how simple full prototyping workflow can be when Roland DG milling devices are combined with the user-friendly Artec 3D scanning technology. The combination of the MDX-50 and Artec scanner will give your business a complete workflow which is easy to use and ideal for businesses looking to bring their processes in-house.
Throughout the day, Roland DG expert Andrew Dudley will also be running SRP Player software training sessions; detailing the useful new features included in the latest generation of the SRP Player including; improved support for drilling and selected area milling for optimal tool path productivity.
With Roland DG’s Creative Centre on hand to inspire attendees, our Roland DG experts and Patrick Thorn will also offer advice on how Roland DG’s other technologies can be combined with milling to produce vibrant colours and special effects that allow prototypes to accurately emulate the final product in appearance, finish and workability.
