Preparing prints to use with ChromaLuxe®

ChromaLuxe® is known for its durability and scratch-resistant properties which add permanence to printed materials. This light-weight material comes in a variety of finishes, all of which are easy to clean and maintain.


1. CREATE A DESIGN AND PROCESS IN YOUR RIP SOFTWARE.

2. PRINT YOUR DESIGN USING A PRINTER EQUIPPED WITH SUBLIMATION INK.

3. USE SUBLIMATION PAPER FOR PRINTING ON RIGID MATERIALS.

4. LET THE PRINT DRY FOR APPROXIMATELY 30 MINUTES BEFORE APPLYING.

Transferring prints to ChromaLuxe®

Using a heat press to transfer your printed design onto ChromaLuxe® panels works.



1. REMOVE PROTECTIVE FILM FROM CHROMALUXE® PLATE.

2. FIX PRINTED PAPER TO CHROMALUXE® PLATE WITH HEAT RESIST TAPE.
3. PLACE THE PLATE FACE-UP AND THE PRINT FACE DOWN COVERED WITH A GAS-PERMEATING FABRIC ON THE HEAT PRESS.
4. USE APPROPRIATE SETTINGS ON THE HEAT PRESS, DEPENDING ON TYPE OF HEAT PRESS, TYPE OF PAPER, PRINT SIZE, ETC.

TIP: PERFORM TESTS TO DETERMINE OPTIMAL SETTINGS. START WITH 190°C, 65 PSI, FOR 2 MIN 30 SECS.

The right ink for ChromaLuxe®

To get the most from this high-grade material, you also need to use the right ink. Roland's Texart SBL3 sublimation inks has earned certification from ChromaLuxe® for outdoor durability.

This certification assures users that they can expect optimum quality and durability when transfer graphics are printed with Texart SBL3 inks and sublimated to ChromaLuxe® EXT (Extended Life) UV-resistant photo panels.
