Roland DG's MODELA series is a series of milling machines that allows you to produce functional prototypes in a fast and easy manner. You can use the material of your choice, including ABS, POM and polyurethane. The MDX-540 is even suited for milling aluminium and brass. SRP technology

SRP is the abbreviation of Subtractive Rapid Prototyping. This technique produces prototypes by milling a block of material into a certain shape. By contrast, additive systems produce models by layering a laminating agent. SRP has several advantages over additive systems: lower costs, support for a wider variety of materials and the possibility to produce beautiful finishes with smooth, curved surfaces.
